My approach

I utilize telehealth therapy in my practice as a collaborative process where you and I work together to understand what’s getting in your way, identify your strengths, and create meaningful, lasting change. I take a direct and supportive approach—helping you gain clarity, challenge unhelpful patterns, and move forward with intention.

I use evidence-based approaches, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness-based strategies, and trauma-informed care, and tailor our work to your specific needs and goals. I often work with young adults in their 20s and 30s who are navigating social disconnection shaped by the pandemic, life transitions related to military or foreign service, relationship challenges, and acute loneliness. I also support clients working through religious and childhood trauma, OCD, depression, and other significant life transitions.

I hold a master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and Rehabilitation Counseling and am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Washington, D.C., Maryland, and Virginia.

Services

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) helps you understand how your thoughts influence emotions and actions. Together, we work to challenge patterns that contribute to anxiety, stress, or self-doubt while building coping strategies that feel realistic and sustainable. CBT offers tools you can use both in and outside of sessions.

Choice Therapy

Choice Therapy, also known as Reality Therapy, is based on the idea that while we cannot always control circumstances, we can choose how we respond to them. Treatment focuses on increasing awareness of thoughts, behaviors, and needs, and supports clients in making intentional choices that lead to healthier relationships and greater emotional well-being.

Teletherapy

I offer teletherapy as an alternative to in-person sessions so that you can get support from the comfort and privacy of your own home or office. Teletherapy has been shown to be as effective as in-person therapy and is compatible with talk therapy.  I use cure, HIPAA compliant platform, Headway, and extend this option to anyone residing in the states of Virginia, Maryland and District of Columbia.
